Each week I share three things I like – It could be a book, a movie, a podcast, an album, a photo, an article, a restaurant, a food item, a beverage, or anything else I simply enjoy and think you might too. You can find a whole pile of things, especially books, I like and recommend HERE.
NFL Draft and free agency season is upon us, and this is the podcast you need to break down players from a true scouting perspective with a fun, engaging voice. Daniel Jeremiah is a former college QB and NFL scout and co-host Bucky Brooks, a former NFL player and scout, do a brilliant job breaking down players and film. It is a fast moving podcast that offers a TON more insight into how football works than typical ESPN “commentary.” They compare players, break down prospects, and break down all aspects of actual football (as opposed to the off-field stuff). Both hosts are exceptionally likable and the banter is enjoyable. If you’re an NFL fan you’ll almost certainly appreciate this.
I don’t normally gravitate toward study Bibles or devotionals, but this is such an excellent combination of both that I can’t help but love it. The notes are all drawn directly from Charles Spurgeon’s sermons and writings on various texts and they are so rich. It’s like a mini lesson or reflection from one of history’s greatest preachers on various passages. It is equal parts eye opening and enriching. Even the layout and aesthetic is wonderful and pleasant to read.
3. MLB’s Greatest Throws
Watch in wonder. I can’t wait for the season to start.
